The Chinese Tomb-sweeping Day, also known as Qingming Festival, falls on April 4 this year. Its name denotes a time for people to go outside and enjoy the greenery of springtime (Taqing, "treading on the greenery"), and also to tend to the graves of departed ones. It has been named an official public holiday in China. (Photo credit: Xinhua)
