Beijing auto show(BEIJING, April 21) -- The 2008 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, the largest in its history, opened on Sunday at an all-new venue, reports Chinanews.com With eight pavilions and 180,000 square meters of show area, the nine-day pageant plays host to 890 vehicles -- 300 more new models than last year -- including 55 conceptual cars, seven international premiers and 24 Asian debuts. This year's expo is larger than the 40th Tokyo Auto Expo in 2007 and the biggest thus far in Asia. The show has attracted over 2,000 carmakers from 18 countries and regions, including the top ten car makers in the world, who will be displaying a combined 88 new models.
