Photos: 29 of Beijing's museums open their doors wide

Visitors peer curiously at artifacts in Beijing's Capital Museum.

On Friday, twenty-nine of Beijing's museums opened for free to the public on an appointment-only basis. To ensure safety, only a maximum of 3,000 visitors are allowed per day.
