(BEIJING. February 28) -- After less than four years of work, the Terminal 3 building of Beijing Capital Airport has officially launched for use, reported Xinhua News Agency. The gigantic, 3.75-billion dollar project is expected to transport 50 million passengers through its doors annually by 2020. Covering a total area of 986,000 square meters, the building, which is dragon-shaped from a birds-eye view, is the maximum size of a single airport ground structure in the world. It will inevitably increase the passenger throughput at the Beijing Capital Airport. To cope with the surge of overseas tourists coming for the Games, the building will greatly improve the Airport's capacity as a key part of the urban infrastructure for the Beijing Olympics.
