(BEIJING, January 24) -- Qingdao, the host city of the 2008 Olympic Sailing competition, will stage a series of maritime sports events from April 30 to May 4, 2008, reported Xinhuanet on Thursday.

The event will include the World Sailing Tour, Extreme Beach Sport Carnival, Maritime Cultural Exposition and a Fashion Show.

The warm-up activity held in Qingdao will help the Olympic co-host city show its charm and energy as a global regatta center.
