(BEIJING, Feb. 2): On the second day of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Swimming China Open, seven finals were staged. In the men's 4×200m free relay, which concluded Saturday morning, China overtook Germany thanks to a tough fight by Zhang Lin.
The results were: CHN 7:23.15, GER 7:24.59, KOR 7:37.31.
Since only five teams enrolled for the competition, the heats of the men's 4×200m free relay scheduled for Friday evening were cancelled. The five teams directly entered the final.
The Chinese team consisted of Huang Shaohua, Zhang Zhitao, Xin Tong and Zhang Lin. As the leadoff, Huang Shaohua took the lead position in the first 50m but was outstripped in the second half by a swimmer from Germany. The situation didn't change much before Zhang Lin took his turn.

Zhang Lin's speed got a lot of applause from the audience. At 700m, he left the German team behind and clinched the title at the end with a time of 7:23.15.
