(BEIJING, Febuary 2) -- Zhao Ruirui, long absent from the public view, will be back on the national volleyball team in three friendly matches scheduled for February 24-26 against Cuba in Fuzhou, Quanzhou and Xiamen.

The three friendlies will be seen as partial gauges to pick members for the Olympic squad, Xiao Qingsong, director of the administration of sports of Fujian, said.

The national team had begun its 140-day training session in Zhangzhou on January 1.

Injuries-battered Feng Kun and Zhao Ruirui, while new faces Li Juan, Xueming, Xu Yunli are making the effort to be on the final roster, Xiao said.

The Xiamen Television Station will air a live broadcast of the match in Xiamen at 7:30 pm on the evening of February 26, and the China Central Television will air a recorded broadcast.
