(BEIJING, March 26) -- The "Beijing Olympic Seal Gold Collector's Edition" was unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday. Authorized by BOCOG, the seal will go on sale at the flagship Olympic licensed product store in Wangfujing beginning March 30. Other licensed product stores will also begin carrying the collector's edition seal.
The seal is a sister product of the "Beijing Olympic Seal Treasure Collector's Edition" released in 2005 and is a 1:2 scale version of the Beijing Olympic Seal.
Each gold edition seal has a solid gold body that weighs 500 grams and comes complete with certificates of acknowledgement and authenticity in a precious red lacquer box inlaid with silver thread.
The seal is priced at 188,000 yuan (about 26,500 US dollars) and will have a limited release of 5,000.
