(BEIJING, February 29) -- The Australian Olympic Committee has released the design of the formal uniforms for Australian athletes at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Australian Associated Press has reported. Members of the delegation will sport classic, lightweight tailored wool suits in dark blue.

The dark blue suits have a subtle blue pinstripe design that is inspired by the Australian coastline. Meanwhile, green and gold, the nation's sporting colors, will be the main colors used for accessories.

The women can choose trousers or a paneled tulip skirt to go with a navy blue leather belt and silver handbag. "Beijing 2008" is clearly visible on all of the uniforms.

Supermodel Kristy Hinze, a brand ambassador for the uniforms' designer and manufacturer, Sportscraft, modeled one of the uniforms at the unveiling ceremony.
