(BEIJING, March 2) -- This year's 59th edition of the International Flower Show at the world famous Keukenhof Tulip Park of the Netherlands will highlight China and the Beijing Olympic Games as its themes, according Xinhua News Agency. The 32-hectare park is the world's largest tulip garden. Every year, from March to May, Keukenhof Park hosts a flower show with over seven million tulips and grape hyacinth bulbs in blossom. This year, in addition to highlighting the Olympic Games and Paralympics, the park will also give special attention to China's cultural and historical significance through special events, the inspirational garden and a variety of shows. One of the most striking floral attractions of the park will be seen this spring, when an enormous dragon is slowly awakened from the soil. Some 24,500 tulip and grape hyacinth bulbs will come into bloom, forming a 15 by 10 meter floral mosaic of this traditional Chinese symbol. One will also find other flower designs like the "Beijing Olympics," the "Summer Palace" and the "Olympic Rings" in the park.
