China Central Television (CCTV) has formed the team and completed the preparatory work for the official television signal production for the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay, CCTV International has reported. This is in accordance with the agreement between the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and CCTV.

The official video signals for the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay will undergo technical testing on two dates: March 4 and March 25.

Information regarding the relevant technical parameters is available on the official website of the Beijing Olympics (www.beijing2008.cn) and the CCTV International website (www.cctv.com).

With the slogan of "Light the Passion Share the Dream," the torch relay will traverse the world's five continents. The relay will last 33 days outside of China (April 1 to May 3) and 97 days in China (May 4 to August 8). The torch will make a stop in 113 cities.

Beginning in Almaty, and in each of the cities along the torch relay route, the official television signal production team will produce a 15-minute highlight reel in Chinese and English to be distributed worldwide.
