(BEIJING, March 9) -- A nine-part documentary series reflecting China's cultural and educational footsteps, and dedicated to the upcoming Olympic Games, was launched in Changsha on Sunday, the China News reported. The film is a component of the campaign entitled "Olympic Journey," which is authorized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to communicate the Olympic concepts and showcase the Olympic atmosphere in China. The campaign will involve six months of charitable activities such as large-scale artistic performances, international footballers' games, and international boat races. Directed by famous Chinese film director Zhang Yimou, the documentary will expound how the Olympics involve the lives of ordinary Chinese people and how the Olympics relate to China's efforts to build a harmonious, well-off society. It will reflect the perspective of the Olympics and a harmonious and progressive China.
