The 2008 International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (www.icsemis2008.org) will be held in Guangzhou, China on August 1-4, 2008. The Convention theme is "Sport Sciences and Harmonious Society in the 21st Century." In collaboration with the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the General Administration of Sport of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province are proud to present an unprecedented, multidisciplinary convention in the same year that the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games are hosted in China. The Opening Ceremony of the Convention will be held in Guangzhou at Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall at 13:30 on August 1, 2008.
