BEIJING, Jan. 4 -- Bank of China (BOC) and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) signed an agreement on Friday, officiating BOC as a supplier of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. BOC Limited's Chairman Xiao Gang and President Li Lihui, BOCOG Executive Vice-President Jiang Xiaoyu, and BOC Executive Vice-President Zhang Yanling attended a signing ceremony at the bank's headquarters in Beijing. According to the agreement, BOC will provide funds and services for the torch relay activities scheduled between March and August 2008. At the ceremony, Jiang Xiaoyu conferred Li Lihui with a torch of the Beijing Olympics and thanked the bank for its continued support of the preparatory work for the torch relay and the preparations for the Beijing Olympics. He expressed hope that BOC would continue to play a positive role in the forthcoming torch relay. Yuan Bin, director of BOCOG's Marketing Department, and Yu Zhongfu, vice-director of BOCOG's Torch Relay Center attended the ceremony. (Source: BOCOG)
